The NSW State Government has committed $3 million to trial a Householders Asbestos Disposal Scheme (HADS). This scheme seeks to improve work health and safety by insisting that the guidelines for the safe removal and disposal of asbestos are complied with, as required by Council, the Environment Protection Authority and WorkCover NSW.
Clarence Valley Council are participating in the HADS scheme and will waive the NSW Waste Levy on domestic asbestos disposal for up to 5 tonnes, where the asbestos has been removed by a licenced asbestos contractor who has registered with council for this scheme. This is a massive saving of $65 per tonne for disposal costs. All you need to do is complete the Registration form & provide a copy of your Clarence Valley Council rates notice so that the NSW Waste Levy is waived on disposal.
All Areas Demolition Excavation are fully licenced for the removal of friable & bonded asbestos and our Quality, Environment and Workplace Health & Safety Management systems are accredited by SAI Global so you can be assured of your family’s safety.

They will then be eligible to receive a Household Asbestos Safety pack, to assist them to remove and transport the asbestos waste safely and efficiently.
